Install CartLift in about ten minutes.
Install from the Shopify App Store, approve the permissions, choose your offers, then add CartLift blocks from Online Store → Themes → Customize. No code is edited, and uninstalling leaves your theme clean.

Install CartLift from the Shopify App Store
Open the CartLift listing and click Install. You are asked to choose your store if you manage more than one.
- No separate CartLift account or password.
- The Free plan starts straight away; paid plans are approved inside Shopify.

Approve the permissions
Shopify shows exactly what CartLift can access. It asks only for what the features need:
- Read products — to show product names, images, prices and stock.
- Read orders — to suggest pairs from what customers buy together and to report add-on sales.
- Manage discounts — to apply 2 and 3-pack prices with a native Shopify discount.
- App proxy — so blocks on your store can load offers quickly.

CartLift opens inside your Shopify admin
You land on the CartLift home screen with a short setup checklist and a free audit of your store.

- The checklist ticks itself off as you finish each step.

Choose your offers
Approve product pairs for Complete the set and the cart, and set your pack discount.
- Quick setup finds products your customers already buy together and pre-ticks them for you.
- Or pick pairs yourself, or ask AI for ideas from your catalogue.
- Nothing shows to shoppers until you approve it.
- Set 2-pack and 3-pack savings as a percentage or a fixed amount.

Add blocks in the theme editor
Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize. Open a product template, click Add block, then choose a CartLift block under Apps.
- Drag the block next to the buy buttons.
- Each block has its own settings: text, colours, which items to show.
- Works with Online Store 2.0 themes such as Dawn, Horizon and most themes sold on the Theme Store.

Turn on the app embeds
In the same theme editor, open App embeds (the puzzle icon) and switch on the ones you want.
- Add-to-cart offer pop-up, cart drawer offer, cart upgrade.
- Sticky add to cart, WhatsApp button, announcement bar.

Save and check your store
Click Save and open a product page. CartLift marks each block “Live on your store” once a shopper has seen it.
- Try the audit again — the gaps you just closed turn green.
- Numbers appear in CartLift → Analytics as orders come in.

Install questions
I don’t see CartLift under Apps when I click Add block.
Make sure you opened a product (or cart) template in the theme editor and that your theme is an Online Store 2.0 theme. Older vintage themes do not support app blocks; the app embeds still work on most of them.
Do I need to edit theme code?
No. CartLift uses theme app blocks and app embeds, which Shopify adds and removes for you. No theme files are edited.
What happens when I uninstall?
Shopify removes CartLift’s blocks and embeds from your theme automatically, and CartLift deletes your store’s app data. Your theme is left as it was.
Can I try it on a duplicate theme first?
Yes. Duplicate your live theme, customise the copy with CartLift blocks, preview it, then publish when you are happy.
Will the pack price show correctly at checkout?
Yes. CartLift creates a native Shopify discount for packs, so cart and checkout calculate the same total that the product page shows.
